Vademecum for civic education in schools

The Vademecum will highlight examples of practices involving civil society associations and organizations that enable the implementation of formal and non-formal educational methods.

What's inside ?

This production consists of an inventory of good European practices in the field of citizenship education carried out in secondary schools in Europe. It will contain:

Steps:

  • Survey (june 2021)

    EYP France and Ecos are coordinating and editing a questionnaire to gather good practices from all over Europe. In order to do so, we are soliciting various actors and innovative practices

  • Sort out the collected practices

    We aim to identify a wide variety of practices that target students, teachers as well as school administrative and public authorities.

  • In-depth interview with some actors (oct. 2021)

    Interviews in order to get more details on some of the gathered practices as well as a study of the national legislative and pedagogical frameworks

  • Publishing of the vademecum (may 2022)

    A digital production produced in Portuguese, French and English bringing together 20 good practices and complementary legal frameworks identified in 10 countries.
